Small black and white done at William Pond by lower rapids

Not a great picture of it, but not bad, colors are a little washed out, but I used word to do it. California Bar, American River Bike Trail done on a rainy day.

Still lots of bike traffic. A better copy of it was posted long ago. First entry on blog!

This one was done for the "Art Bra 4" show at 40 Acres Gallery this weekend. Not exactly plein air, but lots of fun!

A color study completed early this summer. I took the idea from a stetch of William Pond done this winter. My largest painting to date at 60" by 36".

With limited choices, painting or blogging in my free time, I chose painting this spring. Yolo County, California, Ag and Art program offers painters unique opportunities to paint on farms in Yolo County. This is one landscape I did this spring at Putah Creek Ranch. The day was overcast and windy, but the views were great! Thank you Ag and Art!

I started this one at Bodega Dunes and finished it at home. It was for a friend that had hung my very first painting, which of course wasn't very good. I thought she totally deserved an update!

Steve posed for Christmas at S12 Gallery. I thought he made a perfect Scrooge! Hope all of you had a great holiday season. A late Merry Christmas!

I got to go back to Wisconsin to visit my family. Had a great time. While there, my sister Cheryl and my niece Sarah took some time to paint with me! We went to Willow River State Park and
painted the waterfall. Cheryl and I started on Saturday and got rained on a bit, Sarah joined us on Sunday and we had a rain free day. Northwestern Wisconsin is such a beautiful place. Lots to paint.

This one I did at Salt Point State Park, Stump Beach, along the Sonoma Coast. I got to take my son Zac and his girlfriend with me for a weekend camping trip. We had absolutely great weather. We were lucky enough to camp at Sonoma Dunes the first night, it had hot showers and great campsites. The second night we stayed at Salt Point campgrounds, ocean side. Although they had no showers, the view made up for it. We explored beaches up and down the coast. Great Fun!

Here are the other sides of the newsbox. I wonder if it will ever see daylight. I brought it back to Sacramento News and Review and haven't heard anything. Oh well,
it was a lot of fun to do. Who knows, someday someone may see it somewhere in Sacramento! There's always hope!
